Only a short two minutes long, Neutral Milk Hotel is able to create a simple yet sweet tune in "King of Carrot Flowers pt. 1," complete with accordion and and upbeat guitar strumming. Like most of their other songs on the band's two full-length albums, this song couldn't be complete without bizarre, poetic lyrics, like, "how you built a tower tumbling through the trees, in holy rattlesnakes that fell all around your feet." These four young guys are able to entrance and beckon a diverse audience through unique instrumentals, descriptive phrasing, and pleasing melodies.
