Kaskade is an amazing DJ who creatively mixes his original songs and other popular tracks as well. I picked out a few of my favorites out of his five albums and several remixes. I also posted two songs done by Late Night Alumni, a group that Kaskade is part of as well. (Empty Streets and Steppin' Out Slow Mix)

Tristan Prettyman - Shy That Way (ft. Jason Mraz)

boomp3.com

Tristan Prettyman is a singer and songwriter from San Diego who is about to release her album, Hello, on April 15th, 2008. She co-wrote this song with her boyfriend, Jason Mraz, and another song called "All I Want for Christmas is Us." Hope you enjoy the song and it's live version in the video below.

Lil' Wayne - Lollipop (ft. Static Major)

It's always the dumbest songs that are the catchiest.

Beyonce - Beautiful Nitemare

boomp3.com

Beyonce is working on her third studio album and going for more of a dance/pop sound. I don't see how someone with such a beautiful voice could go wrong with any style of music. The title for this song reminds me of "Beautiful Liar" with Shakira, but I definitely like this track a lot better. Enjoy!

No Kids - The Beaches All Closed

boomp3.com

Formally known as P:ano, No Kids recently changed their names for the release of their album. These indie-pop newcomers use an interesting mix of instruments to create a beat that is catchy and reminiscent of The Blow. I hope their album, "Come Into My House," does well and that this Vancouver trio finds success. Enjoy!

Tami Chynn - Frozen (ft. Akon)

boomp3.com

Tami Chynn is back in the music scene with this collaboration with Akon. She is a singer/songwriter/singer that has had a great career collaborating with reggae artists such as Sean Paul. I don't think that she's had much luck in the US with her past music, but I have a feeling that this track will make mainstream radio. Have a listen!

The Blow - True Affection

boomp3.com

"The Blow consists of beat-master Jona Bechtolt and beautiful voice Khaela Maricich. Their latest album, Paper Television, is all heartfelt, home-brewed pop, packed with intriguing beats and clever lyrical content about love, heartbreak, and sex. They have been, according to their myspace page, working tirelessly to create "an essential pop music formula" and damn if they haven't gotten pretty close."

I found that this paragraph perfectly described the duo. A great beat with sweet lyrics. Give it a listen!

Hope is a Los Angeles-based vocalist with a beautiful voice. Her songs are pretty old and a lot of you may already know about her, but give her a listen if you haven't already. The tracks are perfect for those rainy days when all you need are songs as smooth and easy to listen to as these.

Nelly - Party People (ft. Fergie)

It's Nelly new track from his upcoming new album. He pushed back the release date because his first single, "Wadsyaname," didn't do so well. The song is produced by Polow Da Don and I hope you'll enjoy!

Nam and I both like Hot Chip, so we're both going to post.

Nam - I heard about Hot Chip from a friend, and have been in love since. Their style can really vary a lot, which is something I enjoy. Every song can be compared to a different mood. I put on two very good songs from their second album, "The Warning".

Owen - Hot Chip remixed one of my favorite songs by Junior Boys called "In the Morning." Since then, I listened to their other songs and "Ready for the Floor" stuck out to me. I then found a version with an r&b beat added to it. There song, "Sexual Healing," is quite interesting as well.

Surkin

Surkin (real name: Benoit Heitz) is a talented 20 year old Parisian who makes music in the club/house/electro genres. He is going to release his debut album, Next of Kin, with his record company, Institubes. If you liked Justice, I would recommend this song.

CSS

"Cansei de Ser Sexy (literally "I got tired of being sexy" in Brazilian Portuguese), better known as CSS, are a Brazilian band from São Paulo. Their songs have an electro/rock sound, and are sung in both English and Portuguese; their lyrics mostly concern pop culture."

We all know "Music is my hot hot sex" because of the iPod commercial last year, but I would like to introduce another popular song by this interesting group called "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death from Above." This band, consisted of a group of friends, rose to fame in Brazil over the internet and have since then been touring with other popular artists both in the UK and the US. Listen and enjoy!

Finally, the post I have been wanting to do. Justice is one of my favorite electronica groups, and I'm posting this now because I am going to see them over spring break, and I want to brag. Hailing from France, Justice is made of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They're famous for putting a "rock" spin on electronica, and burst into the music scene with their hit D.A.N.C.E. I included six songs, the first four are originals from their release, †. The fifth song is a remix of the Klaxons, and the last song is a DFA 1979 remix. I hope everyone here enjoys them as much as I do.

I'm sure you have all heard about Sia because of her super popular single, "Breathe Me." I was munching on a box of chocolates, and... well it reminded me of "Death by Chocolate." Another single from the same album as "Breathe Me" is "Where I Belong." So enjoy and make sure to comment!

Lykke Li [3 songs]

I know I already posted Lykke Li before the deletion of my blog. Some of you thought it was a strange sound, but I understand and I highly suggest that you give her a couple more listens! These are two songs and a remix off of this funky 21 year old Swedish girl's debut album, "Youth Novels." I hope you can enjoy her electro/soul/pop sound.

Vampire Weekend is an indie/pop/rock group that has been getting a lot of promotion through television shows such as MTV and SNL. Their self-titled album features tracks with an interesting sound that I am beginning to like. They make great music with clever lyrics they are destined for even more success. Enjoy and comment!

Marc Thomas is an unsigned alternative rock singer/songwriter with soul. He remind sme of John Mayer and I love his sound. He is doing well on the iTunes charts and I hope he finds success in the near future. Visit his Myspace and check out the rest of his music! Enjoy and comment!

Rihanna - Take a Bow + 4 other songs

boomp3.com

It's another typical Ne-yo collaboration. But at least it sounds good. In case you haven't been listening to music at all these days, Rihanna has been tearing up the radio with her singles off her recent album, "Good Girl Gone Bad." Don't Stop the Music is probably one of the best songs off of that fantastic album as well as the overplayed "Umbrella." "Shut Up and Drive" is annoying and catchy as well, and finally, there is "Rehab." Oh, and "Hate That I Love You" was the first Ne-yo collaboration that sounded like all of his other songs. I'm going to post "Cry" as well, which reminds me of "Unfaithful" off of her album, "Girl Like Me." Geez, that's a lot of songs. Enjoy!

Paramore's latest album is Riot!, and it has been doing well with the singles, "Misery Business" and "Crush Crush Crush." The whole album is GREAT and I love their old music as well. I posted songs from their debut album, "All We Know is Falling." Never Let This Go, Pressure, and Emergency were my favorite songs from that album. Listen and enjoy!
