I Wasn't Prepared- Eisley

Surprisingly, Eisley is a band that consists of close family relations. Sherri DuPree, Stacy DuPree, Chauntelle DuPree and Weston DuPree, and their cousin, Garron DuPree all are part of this indie-pop group. "I Wasn't Prepared" is one of Eisley's soft songs from their album Room Noises. The song's celestial melodies combined with gentle vocals set a tranquil mood. It opens with "Oh, when the day is blue. I'll sit here wondering about you." and leads the listener into a dreamy bliss.

You're Not Coming Home Tonight: First Aid Kit

Two cute swedish girls form an indie folk duo. The only possibility is First Aid Kit. Made up of sister Johanna and Klara Soderberg, the two girls released their first masterpiece, an EP called "Drunken Trees", just last year. Already they've acquired quite a following, and have done duets with the band Good Old War in the song "Stay By My Side." Their sound borders soft country, especially in this song. But it's not the Taylor Swift pop country or deep South country sound that you hear on the radio. It sounds more influenced by 60s folk with some soft country beats mixed in. Their first full-length album will be released in January 2010, and they even go on tour in the US periodically.
