Coldplay has just posted their new single, "Violet Hill," on their official website for download. Their new album is due later on this year, and it is an album that they worked on while they were in Spain. The album is supposed to have a Spanish influence on it, so hopefully they'll find success with their new sound. I'm not sure if I like this song as much as their other songs, but give it a listen!

The Kills - Sour Cherry

The Kills is an American indie band consisted of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince. The album, "Midnight Boom," contains the song "Sour Cherry" that was featured on the television series, Gossip Girl. The drumbeats, hand claps, and cowbell in the song all come together to create the perfect beat. Very catchy indeed.

Regina Spektor is an amazing singer/songwriter and pianist who became quite famous around 2005. Her songs have been featured on many TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy and several commercials. You must have a listen if you haven't heard any of her songs. Enjoy!

Lola Ray - Beautiful Boy

A friend of mine was obsessed with this band. The band started playing together during high school in Southern California, but then moved to New York to release their album, "Liars." Their single "Automatic Girl" (highly recommended) was featured on MTV. "Beautiful Boy" is my favorite song from the band that is about a relationship between a dedicated girl and a boy who is not willing to commit.

Estelle

Estelle is a producer and singer from London who has been gaining popularity. It's probably because of her smooth-as-silk voice. This song is pretty old, but recently thrust her into the spotlight. It was sampled from Will.I.Am's song "Impatient", and features Estelle on vocals. Oh yeah, and Kanye West. He doesn't add that much to the song though.

DJ Mehdi is a special guy. Hailing from Paris, Mehdi Essadi grew up listening to Hip-Hop and French bred Electronica. Since then, DJ Mehdi has become renowned for mixing the two genres, and creating magic for the ears. He also got signed by Pedro Winter and joined Ed Banger Records. I put a couple singles, along with songs from his CD "Lucky Boy".

DJ Felli Fel ft Kanye West, JD, Fabolous & Ne-Yo - The Finer Things

I have a feeling that this will be a popular track after featuring such popular artists: Kanye West, Jermaine Dupri, Fabolous, and Ne-yo. DJ Felli Fel was the artist who release the track "Get Buck In Here" which was popular last year.

Corinne Bailey Rae is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who was a popular during 2006 after the release of her self-titled debut album. I was listening to her album when I came across this track. Since I'm sure you've already heard the singles "Like a Star" and "Put Your Records On," I just wanted to post an amazing song that didn't get as much publicity.

Modest Mouse is an American indie rock band formed in 1993. Their hit single, "Float On" from the album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News became popular in 2004.



Goldspot is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band that made an amazing cover of the song which was featured in one of The O.C. mixed soundtracks.

I found this band over myspace and apparently they've been popular for quite a while. They are getting ready to release their new album, "Walk This Way." I was able to find their most popular song and post it. I thought it was quite catchy. They have the synth/pop/rock song, so I hope you can enjoy it!

Lupe Fiasco - Superstar (Acoustic) & Fighters

I thought that an acoustic version of the popular single, "Superstar," put an interesting twist to the song. It gets tiring listening to the same song on the radio over and over, so this was a bit refreshing. "Fighters" is also another one of my favorites on Lupe Fiasco's recent album, "The Cool." Matthew Santos, who is also featured in "Superstar" adds fantastic vocals to the tracks.

It has also recently been announced that they will headline Z100/NY’s Zootopia on May 17th. Along with touring they are set to release a new album this summer!! This is a newly leaked track rumored to be the first single. "Click Click Click" has a r&b/pop feel to it, and is a bit catchy [if you like this kind of music]."
